Manufacturing contributes to Ireland’s economy
Manufacturing already accounts for almost a quarter of Ireland’s economic output and employs in excess of 230,000 people here. The FDI manufacturing sector in Ireland alone spends an estimated €771 million on R&D annually. Advanced manufacturing can help us build on this success with smarter factories, new technologies, and breakthrough products.

Ireland needs to keep abreast of global changes and to refresh its proposition to attract investment across a range of manufacturing sectors and activities – from both foreign and Irish owned firms.
